Printer Profiling - the difference

The ImageTune Difference:

The image shows two identical colour bars which have been printed side by side using different profiles and the result scanned to show the differences*.

The upper colour bar was printed using an ImageTune preferred procedure profile for Lyson 265gsm gloss paper and Lyson Fotonic inks in an Epson 2100 printer. The lower colour bar was printed on the same printer with identical materials using a profile calculated using an alternative procedure involving different media settings.

*You may need to look at this for a little while, but notice how the upper bar shows much better colour range (gamut) particularly noticeable in the yellow, green and cyan areas as well as smoother gradations.
